If you were to ask me about damage-resistant asters, I would suggest three excellent candidates: aromatic aster, blue wood aster, and heath aster 'Snowflurry.' But if you were to ask me about New York asters, I'd say I haven't seen one that's deer-resistant yet. So, I'm still not sure!
